PR Lighting made a big impression at this year's Prolight + Sound exhibition in Frankfurt with the launch of their new StarBrite LED cloth ¡ª which formed a shimmering backcloth to the stand - and XLED 590 wash light.The latter, pictured with PR Lighting sales director Cui-Lin, created enormous punch in the large theatre thanks to its use of 90 Osram Diamond Dragon 5W RGB LED's in each head. This is one of the world's brightest single-chip SMT LEDs (offering up to 250 lumens) ¡ª and this output certainly showed on the stand.The light output closely resembles that of a conventional wash light containing a 1200W discharge lamp, with the advantage of excellent colour mixing and high uniformity of the white beam. The standard beam angle is 22¡ã but 10¡ã and 35¡ã options are also provided."We are delighted with the response we have received to both this and the StarBrite, which proved so popular with customers that we received an instant order for the display backdrop!" Cui Lin, the International Marketing and Sales Director of PR said.The StarBrite LED cloth comes with a dedicated flight-cased PR-8710C controller. IPX3-protected (against spraying water), the StarBrite comes with 12 preset programmes, contains a total of 144 LED's (18 x 8 sequences), with 30,000-hour lamp life and has been designed to outperform its competitors.
