The latest Carpetecture® collection from leading European carpet manufacturer Desso signals a bold direction in the use of colour in contemporary contract carpets. The ‘Colour Dimensions' collection introduces four new carpet products totaling over 100 colours, with an awareness of the importance of colour in floor covering and the impact it can have on people's perception of a public space. The Carpetecture system draws inspiration from contemporary architecture and design to create flooring that complements modern interiors. Colour Dimensions reflects the recent trend for bold colour palettes and unusual textures, seen in everything from wallpaper to window dressing. The collection is at the forefront of contemporary fashion with a range of patterned and plain carpets in a host of hues, celebrating colour's ability to define and describe space. The Colour Dimensions collection consists of four contemporary tiles, each demonstrating a new direction in the use of carpet as a design tool – a central tenet of the Carpetecture concept. Whether to create a sense of dynamic movement, emphasise direction, change the perspective in a room or create strong links with other furnishing fabrics, the collection offers interior designers and architects the carpet choices needed to animate the bones and body of a building.
