Hi,
I'm writing from Croatia - hopefully someone can understand me (or I will need to try my bad German grammar ) - you can answer in German if you like.
I have a Festo ATB 55E + rail
I would like to use the Eurekazone rail (eurekazone.com)
to cut hardwood. The rail reduces depth of cut by 16mm, so I'd like to buy another saw for cutting thick hardwood eg for bed frames, table legs etc.
I was thinking of a 230-235mm saw (85mm depth of cut)
Makita 5903R, Hitachi C9BA2, Metabo KS85, Hilti WSC85 (can buy 2 Makita or Hitachi saws for one Metabo or Hilti)
or 270mm saw eg Makita 5103 (100mm depth of cut)
Questions
(a)The 270mm saw is quite large and heavy - is it better to buy it or a 235mm saw and then a bandsaw for thicker material ?
(b)Does anyone have experience with the Makita/Hitachi/which is better ?
(c)Is it worthwhile paying for the Metabo or Hilti ?
(d)Makita has a 30mm saw mounting hole, the Hitachi 25mm - is 30mm "more standard" than 25mm i.e. easier to buy ?
Thanks in advance,
Vjeko
