Traxon's cutting-edge Red Dot Award winning RGB Mesh was successfully demonstrated lighting design concept “fun landscape” at the event and astonished visitors. Alingsås, October 2009 – Traxon Technologies has once again supported one of the biggest PLDA lighting event – Lighting Alingsas in Sweden. This year's topic is “Inspiration in Alingsås – celebrating ten years” and the event has attracted circa 75000 visitors from all round the world, including thousands lighting designers and others in the lighting business. Nobody wants to miss this event – Architects and lighting designers see it as a great meeting place for exchanging architectural lighting design concepts. The purpose of the lighting event is to inspire those lighting design students by offering them the opportunity to create 6 unique lighting themes together with 6 Internationally renowned PLDA lighting designers. Traxon has been chosen to collaborate with lighting designer - Giovanni Traverso (professor at master on Lighting Design at IUAV-Venice) for the lighting project – “the Skatepark”, presenting the lighting design concept “fun landscape”. A total of 16 pieces RGB Mesh (67,5 mm pitch with 80% transparent) has been installed beside the skate park. In order to match the design concept, a set of natural landscapes video/animation shows has been programmed by Rogier Hengeveld (European Project Manager of Traxon) to be played continuously on the Mesh. At the same time, the whole "Skatepark" lighting show (duration: 8 minutes) has been triggered by e:cue programmer. The light show starts whilst skaters were thronging the skating rink. It is undoubted that the "skatepark" is an eye catching landscape during the event and it astonished many visitors while they walk through the space.
