The Big Mosque of Touba

The Mecca of pilgrimage Mouride, the Big Mosque of Touba is a unique architectural work in Senegal. This Islamic religious monument to minarets and visible domes until 10km around, is the most important place of Touba. Of important works of town planning one made these last years to create a new dynamics by balancing the urban space in the heart of the city. The main ways guiding the pilgrims in the Big Mosque are henceforth provided with a modern lighting. It is more 60 bright points similar to stars which illuminate the Majestic City(Estate).
