Never change a winning team - not just a motto for Haworth and designer Simon Desanta but a pledge to continuity. With their new family of swivel chairs System 59, they maintain their commitment to successful cooperation and the result is a model which combines the tradition of the Haworth comforto brand with new technology. The System 59 series covers almost 30 model variations within which companies can find the most suitable chair. The world-wide supplier of organic workspace solutions now expands its line that includes a back frame which can be applied to the entire line-up. "This allows us to use fewer materials and to make an important contribution to the chair's environmental balance" says Product Marketing Manager, Andrea Demmerling, Haworth Europe. The new System 59, is the first Haworth family of chairs on the market with an Automatic Weight Control Mechanism, developed in-house by Haworth. At the same time, tried and trusted features such as the asymmetric lumbar support system (PAL-Back-System), first applied to the Zody_System 89 and the further-developed AIR-GO-PUR-Seat are also featured. "As our products become more intelligent, they also become more comfortable. Despite this, our System 59 can be found in the middle price segment," explains Andrea Demmerling. The new family of chairs, with its straight and smooth design characteristics fits seamlessly into the entire product range and can be combined with the entire line-up. "As we have been able to integrate most of the mechanical parts inside the chair, the result is an elegant but reduced design," is the description given by the product manager. The new chairs can also be ordered with design backrest upholstery, offering not only comfort but a simple yet aesthetic appearance. In addition, Haworth has presented a new range of upholstery fabrics and colours which were selected according to the findings of market researchers. "Our colours and materials concept follows the Very multifunctional chair collection and aims to offer perfectly matched products which can be put to use in all areas." An attractive and sustainable addition to the materials collection is the E-Leather range which is fabricated from leather remnants and is visually indistinguishable from conventional leather.
