The new Radisson SAS Waterfront Hotel Jersey, recently selected the Onity ADVANCE electronic locking system to complement its contemporary design and décor. Located in St. Helier in the UK Channel Islands, the SAS Waterfront is a sleek, five-storey hotel with 195 guestrooms and a glass portico. Onity, one of the world's leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).“We chose ADVANCE because it complemented the contemporary design of the hotel while offering guests the most advanced locking technology available,” said Mike Thurston, Chief Engineer at the Radisson SAS Waterfront Hotel. “It is a groundbreaking new concept in locking hardware that looks like nothing anyone has seen before, and it will complement the relaxing and inspiring atmosphere we have created for our guests.”Onity's ADVANCE electronic lock offers a wide range of flexibility in both aesthetic design and operational features, such as a unique, modular, two-piece design that minimizes hardware on the guestroom door. It also features management software for improved ease of operation and unsurpassed technical service. In fact, Onity is the only electronic lock manufacturer with a permanent presence on the island for after sales service.ADVANCE also earned the prestigious Platinum Award from Design Journal Magazine during their 2007 ADEX Design Competition.
