Leading play surfacing specialist Notts Sport has enhanced its high-quality ChildsPlay systems through the addition of an exclusive new feature. Committed to continuous innovation & improvement of its products, has introduced a new impact-absorbing base layer for its ChildsPlay systems, called NottsBase EPP.The specialist layer is made from expanded polypropylene & is used under the VHAF NottsSward synthetic surface to increase the all-round benefits of the playground solution.Because the lightweight NottsBase EPP tiles slot together, they are a quick and simple solution for playground installers. For play providers, faster installation means reduced costs and less time with a facility out of use.The tiles also feature moulded hemispheres on the underside which create an air void to disperse energy on impact. This feature is unique to ChildsPlay and enhances performance over a traditional, solid EPP tile. When laid over any surface, including concrete, a ChildsPlay system can offer users a critical fall height protection of up to 3.0m.NottsBase EPP, which has a EU Patent pending, can be used in four depths -40mm, 55mm, 65mm & 80mm -to provide the highest levels of impact absorption. Unlike base layers which are installed on site, NottsBase EPP tiles used in ChildsPlay systems are produced under controlled, factory conditions. This guarantees the consistency of the durable material and the performance it provides.Its use is environmentally friendly. EPP is 100% recyclable & the manufacturing process does not require the use of volatile organic compounds or other materials recognised as harmful to the environment.Chairman, Shaun Patrick, says: “ChildsPlay is already recognised as a high-quality, cost-effective solution throughout Spain. The development of NottsBase EPP adds even more practical benefits for playground providers.
