The square was chosen as basic shape of the Lithoss range: sturdy and yet delicate due to the thin cover plate . Switches were replaced with push buttons, and both the sockets and push buttons could be surface-mounted or recessed into the wall so that they were placed exactly at wall level. Today the product range offers a spectrum of 12 highly diverse finishes with customizing available : the cover plates can be produced in any RAL colour. This creates space for interior designers to fit switches in an identical finish to the walls if they do not want to go for a contrast. Stainless steel is a natural material, and was a deliberate choice to start with. Our own special way of brushing and handling, makes the stainless steel absorb the surrounding light and reflect the colours of the environment. Particular care has been given to the design: elegance and with a perfect finish. This year Lithoss launches the new productrange - NOBLE by Lithoss – in the finishings 18 Ct GOLD or SILVER Ag1000.Developped together with the young designer David dos Santos, the new range combines the clean, sober and simple design with the precious natural metals gold and silver. The materials symbolise purity and noblesse.Exclusivity goes hand in hand with a meticulous production process. Every plate is finished by hand after the machine process, each plate is a rare masterpiece. The new design products that are marketed under de name “Noble by Lithoss” will be launched worldwide on the exhibition “Interieur 2008” in Kortrijk, Belgium.
