Experience in shaping new forms of Planika Fires encouraged the company to broaden its horizons and start cooperation with renowned designers. January 2008 marks the launch of a new model from the collection Christophe Pillet for Planika. The glass cylinder, which is the part of the Glassfire® Technology, is fixed into a concrete form with the diameter of 41 cm. The 75 cm high object treasures real fire inside. Jar can be arranged within every interior but also it is a fine solution for outdoor use like gardens, terraces and verandas. Full container of the burning chamber ensures one and a half hour of real fire without smoke, smell or ash. The fire is free of any special installations or chimneys. Planika Fires burn special liquid Fanola® based on alcohol. The fuel is a completely safe product of plant origin, while burning only water vapour and CO2 are released to the atmosphere.Warmth of fire juxtaposed with the coldness of concrete was an idea of Christophe Pillet. The new model had its world premiere at the now! design à vivre fair in Paris in January 2008. Planika team managed to draw plenty of visitors from all over the World. Christophe Pillet few days before the fair met the press for an interview at the press premiere of his collection. The exhibition at the fair in Paris created also a lot of interest among other designers who recognised the ambience of real fire by Planika. This shall be the direction of the company for the future development
