Picture shows: low side table objects, 2 layer stools and a 4 layer stool SINCE THE OPENING ON 28 FEBRUARY 2009 OF THE DESIGNSHOP MAXMARA (PILOTPROJECT) THE 2 AND 4 LAYER STOOLS ARE AVAILABLE IN MILAN/ITALY. Every object is different depending on how the paper and glue dry together ('papier-maché'). The strong construction of the paper rolls pressed against each other forms at the same time the decorative element. Feel free to combine different paper objects: put one on top of the other, stools can be side tables etc. (Objects are being produced on demand and in limited series. Delivery time three months). In 2006 the 2 layer stools were nominated for the Dutch Design Awards.For any art or architectural project please let yourself be inspired by www.avhuizing.nl and the pdf-catalogue, which is attached to the ArchiExpo website as well. One can think for example of combining different paper structures for decorative sound absorbing wall purposes. Annette V. Huizing (designer/artist) likes a living environment where art, design and architecture are considered as a whole. "Less designed it looks the better. Maybe an object should not show too clearly what it is, let people in a way decide how to use it"..Besides producing these paper objects she is also specialized in decorating metal mesh.
