Launched to the European market in September 2008 at 100% Design London after two years of research, the wallpaper “Listen and record” by ilias tells a story in touchable flocked Braille. Forming a calming, rhythmic pattern, the wallpaper is hand screen printed in England, and is available in various colour compositions on matt or high gloss non-woven paste the wall technology bases.“Listen and Record” is the start of ” the Braille project”by ilias and was recently presented the wining prize at the Bombay Sapphire Design Awards by Massimo Morozzi, creative director for EDRA and Humberto and Fernando Campana, ”the Campana brothers” The Braille project continues into 2009 with new stories by culturally diverse writers and aritsts that will be converted into published Braille wall coverings using a variety of three-dimensional media. Listen and record wallpaper will soon be visible in the collection of the Cowper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York.
