French Fancy! This month sees the finishing of the most beautiful Le Bistrot Pierre restaurant yet. This will be the 5th site for the group that the Philip Watts Design team has worked on. Located on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield in a brand new landmark building the restaurant opened its doors one week ago and is already a smash hit with the people of Sheffield. Once again the interior is a blend of French antiques and contemporary details. This time there is a cosy bar overlooked by a Moooi horse. Pewter tops and soft leather banquettes add a sense luxury while the stylish antiques add to what is a very individual feeling site. The walls are finished with luxurious wallpaper and there's plenty of antique signage and framed French press cuttings. Lighting fixtures are used to great effect, with 3 huge feature lights in the large double height curved front of the building. Philip Watts Design are better know for their product range and they used some of these products within this scheme to great effect, including menu boxes, portholes and bespoke handles.
