LAMP LIGHTING, a technical and architectural lighting company, has lit up La Caja Mágica, one of the most unique sports buildings in the world, designed by the famous French architect, Dominique Perrault. La Caja Mágica is in Manzanares Park, in Madrid, and it is a sports centre for tennis, with a versatile and functional design that enables indoor and outdoor competitions. In the main building of La Caja Mágica there is a tennis court with 12,000 seats, as well as another two smaller stadiums. In the larger stadium, 3,800 Uplights Led have been installed under the seats to create a spectacular and magical lighting effect. This LAMP product is a luminaire that is built in the ground and that offers high technical performance and sustainability. Uplight Led has a light source of 3 LEDs of 1.2 W with a power supply of 350mA and a luminous flow of 900 candle power, a colour temperature of 6,500 ºK and a useful life of 50,000 hours, which means it requires minimum maintenance. These luminaires have IP65 and OK08 rating, and they are very environmentally-friendly because they only consume 3.9 W. For this project, the model that offers a luminous beam of 30º has been chosen, and fast connectors have been included for a fast, easy and safe installation.
