The speed in which new products appear on retail shelves can blur the narrative behind these objects, while this product is a reminder of the beginning of the industrial revolution and the time of inventors. This simple idea started from sketching the Edison bulb in a bid to create an exciting new lamp shed for it. But the sketch turned into a new way of observing the bulb, which turned into this exciting lamp. The secret is in the ingredients: to create the first prototype, there was a need to blow glass into the shape of a bulb and “steal” bulb screw-cups from real bulbs. The glass is blown with a hole in it – so it can click onto a halogen capsule house. Make sense? The idea is to confuse, to question and to intrigue a reaction. Some, who are not object sensitive, might wonder if there is anything unique in this design when observing it for the first time. Others will realize there is something different here, but will take a while to comprehend. The New Gold Chandelier is Gold Leaf plated and the special flexi wires allow the user to the design the form of the lamp by themselves.
