Safety is always of paramount importance with any electrical item, but installing wiring accessories inside a prison adds a whole new dimension. GET is rightly lauded for its facility in designing and producing bespoke items to meet the most exacting standards, even those set by the Home Office for installations in prisons. GET Ultimate media plates for 270 cells at HMP Dovegate near Uttoxeter, although already robust and built to very high quality levels, had to be both strategically strengthened and have additional security screws added to meet the exacting standards. Skanska, the developer was delighted with the support of the GET specification team in helping them to resolve a technically difficult situation both quickly and easily. "GET provided us with a unique design solution that admirably suited our needs", stated Richard Pratley of Skanska. GET is known for its ability to deliver bespoke products both on time and on budget. These modifications not only completed this £22K project to the satisfaction of all parties, but its success has also led to the GET Specification Team now working on other major prison developments.
