Ambasadori Hotel in capital city Tbilisi, Georgia has selected Traxon Technologies' innovative LED lighting systems to create an iridescent atmosphere for its hotel's exterior, emphasizing the unique characteristics of its architectural design. The intention of the lighting project was originally derived by the Georgian's President Saakasjvili, creating eye-catching skyline around the presidential palace of Georgia. Ambassador Hotel is located in the pointed geographical spot, directly facing the presidential palace. The entire design concept is defined by the leading lighting designer company - Gelania. The lighting designers realized that it is essential to understand the nature of new trend of architectural lighting. The raise of solid-state lighting; control technology gives a lot of new opportunities to design and create many unusual concepts for architectural exterior lighting, which could not be done in the past. This trend offers more varied options for strive a totally new design with many new concepts such as the combination of LED lighting with historical building, by sweeping lighting animation from one building to another. To meet the requirements set by the hotel management to draw special attentions to the hotel exterior within the given space. The entire facade including building edges are all illuminated with LED lighting. 66 sets of Traxon Outdoor RGB Dot Strings are served to highlighting the building edges, making it continuously changing colour. Furthermore, the Installer Company - Tbilisi City Hall states: “We are happy with the Dot String, It is flexible, and also the connection system which makes our job easier during the installation.” On the other parts of the facades there are 24 pieces of 36 XB Wall Washers combined with 36 pieces of 9 & 27 XB Nanoliners are invisibly mounted around the wall, perfectly sweeping walls with a multitude of stunning single colour or colour changing lighting effects. The whole lighting solution provides a total of 10,000 pixels to be controlled by 63 DMX universe channels utilizing e:cue LAS1 controlling system. The programming of the lighting animations has been created by Oto Pirveli from Tbilisi cityhall and Rogier Hengeveld from Traxon Technologies. Last but not least, the most incredible part about the lighting control for this project is that all the lighting scenarios are able to be controlled remotely from a certain distance.
