Houston, Tx-10/09: Nevins Ltd, a contract furniture manufacturing company is pleased to announce the retainment of industrial design consulting firm, Plow. Tod Babick, Plow's founder will be heading up product brand strategy and directing the design and development of new products for Nevins Ltd. Brian Nevins, President, states, “Our vision has always been to partner with an outside design resource. Plow has a record of beautiful, innovative and successful products, and Tod has the strategic mindset that is integral for Nevins' success. We're incredibly excited about the future!” Tod Babick has a BA in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design. Prior to launching Plow, he had served as design director and staff director for numerous Michigan and Rhode Island studios. Most recently, Babick is partner and Director of Design at the high-end furniture maker Pieter VanTuyl. His impressive list of accomplishments include: ID Magazine, Best of NeoCon, International Design Resource Awards Competition, and Time Magazine Ten Best Products of the Year. Along with these awards, some of Babick's work is showcased in the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Nevins has sustained continual growth despite the economic downturn plaguing many businesses. However, record sales are no reason to rest, states Brian Nevins. He says, “Recessionary periods are the perfect time to invest in innovation, and when you talk about innovation these days you're really talking about design. Besides, we've already put in place world-class customer service and the most advanced, web-based technology in the industry. Now with Tod's help we're going to create some exciting products.” Founded in 1976, Nevins Ltd is a contract furniture company based in the Greater Houston area.
