It is continuously changing colorResin structure White or black Dimensions: 35 * 65 cmPhilippe Boulet / Design & LightPhilippe Boulet, born in 1974, is a French designer living in Paris. He is specialised in creating illuminated furniture and items. As a business school graduated, he quickly understood that his story was to be different. It was rather that of a passionate young man fascinated by magical atmospheres, beautiful places, music and travelling. Determined to bring a dreamy and fairy-like atmosphere to our daily life, he imagined 12 years ago to give life to his creations thanks to light! He is the precursor in the illuminated furniture domain creating his first pieces in 1997.He is using the last technologies in light and electronics, especially LED (Lighting Emitting Diode), fiberoptics, phosphorescence and soon nanotechnologies. For example it is possible to connect the furniture to a computer: thanks to a software it is possible to choose different colours amongst thousand of ones, to make them continuously changing with the speed of your choice.One of his last collections revisits the antique furniture -Louis XVI, Louis XV...- by this way.The furniture keeps its initial function and becomes a light. As a result the perception of space is enhanced, and the atmosphere arises unexpectedly.In 2005 he was nominated at “Déco d'Or” headed by Philippe Starck.He obtained in 2006 the “Medal of Ministry dedicated to small and medium companies” at International Concours Lépine and is recognised in the 2006 Inventories Dictionary.
