In Greek mythology Atlante (Atlas) is one of the Titans who took part in the Cronos revolt against the gods of Olympus. As punishment, Zeus forced him to take the entire heavens upon his shoulders. The figure of the giant who holds up the earth appeared on a collection of geographical maps in the 16th century and cartographers soon used this name for geography books. Since then, the name Atlante has become a symbol of knowledge and universality. The simple and geometrical Atlante system combines modern functional requirements in the work place with internationally appealing design. Atlante is a modular system with a load-bearing panelled structure and a marked capacity to provide multiple workstation tables of large dimensions.
