London, 20 October 2008 - Armstrong World Industries, one of the world's leading suppliers of suspended ceiling systems, will showcase two new Canopy solutions at the Launch Pad Gallery in The Building Centre, London, on Tuesday 18th November 2008. Optima Canopy is a flat mineral panel, pre-formed into 10 shapes, convex, concave, square, circle, hexagon, trapezoid, parallelogram and rectangular shapes. Optima Canopy is a creative design solution that allows the specifier to create a signature space. Offering excellent sound absorption and light reflectance, Armstrong's Optima Canopy allows the client to restructure a space, accentuate any area and express their creativity. Armstrong's Axiom Knife Edge Canopy will also be launched at the event. The new Axiom Knife Edge Canopy can be used in conjunction with full size ceiling tiles to create “ceiling clouds” which give definition to any space. The easy to install canopies can improve the overall acoustics of a room and increase speech intelligibility over a specific area.In addition, Armstrong will also exhibit the current Canopy collection, Ultima Canopy, Orcal Canopy, Infusions Canopy & Axiom Canopy alongside our design metal solutions. In addition, Armstrong will be delivering its Continuing Professional Development presentation, ‘Suspended Ceilings and the Environment'. The presentation covers definitions and perceptions of sustainability and ways to rate environmental performance, examining the eco-credentials of suspended ceiling tiles and their impact on the indoor environment.
