ALBED BY KARIM Our collaboration with Karim Rashid is a very significant move for ALBED which is thus reappearing in the world panorama of design. A young and dynamic brand that has chosen to invest in research, promoting an increasing number of advanced products capable of satisfying the most sophisticated aesthetic needs for high quality and functionality. The doors designed by Karim Rashid can be taken as a mix of imagination, technology, work of art and colour. Innovative in choice of materials and with exclusive and engaging forms, all the models presented go beyond any classical style to reappear as objects in a new class altogether. In the words of our designer the collection arose from the ”idea of eliminating the presence of a handle by making the door become a straightforward transition point leading from one space to another. These doors differ from the traditional concept and thus are focused on the future”. Albed presents the first doors of a line which in future is due to be further expanded. Today the collection consists of Kart, Ring, Blow and Divy, each of which has a distinctive character that makes it unique.
