AceCad Software always looks to benefit its valued users with efficiency and productivity advantages within its leading software titles. In collaboration with Albion Sections, AceCad Software now offers the full range of Albion Sigma Beam Purlin cold rolled component macros inside StruCad V15, Service Pack 1. The motivation behind the development of Albion Sections' Sigma Beam Purlin range was to assist in combating rising material costs with a lighter and more efficient product. In the current difficult climate, AceCad's software and Albion Sections' new Sigma Beam Purlin range delivers a vital competitive edge to all our mutual users. One of the first companies to take advantage of the Albion Sigma Purlin range and benefit from the additional strength to weight ratio, were Crown Structural. Used on a recently completed industrial project these benefits and the reduced lead times offered by Albion Sections were significant factors in determining their cold rolled supplier. According to John Jones, Managing Director of Albion Sections, 'Our industry beating lead times have been available for around three years now, following investment in state of the art roll forming plant in West Bromwich'. 'With this latest advanced range and our second new manufacturing base in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, we are perfectly placed to respond and exceed client's expectations'."Albion Sections and Crown Structural have worked together for many years and have formed a great trading relationship. The directors and team here at Crown have seen the benefits of investments made by Albion Sections in production capacity, technical and after sales service, plus product development". Anthony Hallam, Managing Director Crown Structural The Albion Sigma Purlin range not only reduces weight, but also the need for sleeves and anti sag systems in many common spans. This not only reduces material costs, but also expensive site erection time may also be saved, according to Mr Jones. He continues, 'the main driver for the Albion Sigma Purlin was to combat the increasing cost of steel during mid 2008'. 'Now steel prices have fallen; the development time and investment have not gone to waste'. 'As we all know steel prices have fallen due to the world wide reduction in demand created by an economic slowdown'. 'Our development work in combination with the numerous benefits of using StruCad now means that our many mutual customers have further competitive advantages when choosing Albion Sections as a partner for the supply of Purlin and Rail systems, especially on projects under extreme price pressure'. "Albion Sections concentrate on being customer focused and work extremely hard to offer our customers the tools needed to be competitive and improve the service provided to their customers. We believe this also aids the Steel Construction Industry to maintain its position as a viable and preferred alternative to other methods of construction". John Jones, Managing Director, Albion SectionsAceCad Software's Engineering Manager Mr Colin Cheese concluded, 'Here at AceCad we believe in delivering competitive advantages to our users in the UK and around the world'. 'By working closely with major cold-rolled suppliers in the UK, and increasingly with suppliers in other countries, we are able to ensure that StruCad users always have the most up to date cold-rolled products available in their systems'. 'It is of significant importance that any investor in our products can see our ongoing commitment to timely and practical product development to suit market requirements'.
